It was not love at first sight, at least not for Lindsay. She had agreed to go to the dinner party to be nice and was hoping this would get her out of an official date with the one that invited her. Wade was hosting the dinner at his place and opened the door to Lindsay standing on the front step, his first impression, “she’s cute”. Lindsay was convinced now was not the right time and let Wade know this. Wade persevered a eventually won over Lindsay. As they say the rest is history.
One tradition Lindsay and Wade included in their wedding was the giving of a horseshoe. The presentation of the horseshoe to the bride and groom is believed to bring the couple good luck. Lindsay’s family made a custom horseshoe in the wedding colors and presented to the happy couple as they walked back down the aisle after being presented as husband and wife. I love learning about new wedding traditions. It is so fun to see how each couple and family celebrate the formation of a new family unit. Having photographed and attended hundreds of weddings I can say no two weddings are ever the same, and that might be my favorite part of my job.
