This inspiration shoot was a long time coming. Rachel and I had discussed an Indian bridal themed shoot back in January. Thinking ahead we put it on the books for April/May so we could shoot in warmer temperatures on location. I have always loved images at Saltair and thought it would be the perfect backdrop for our Indian bride. We didn’t account for a very rainy spring and were uncanny in picking dates that were stormy. Even with the delays this shoot turned out to be one of my favorites. Definitely worth the wait.
Saltair was beautiful and I would love to go back. A couple things I learned…
1. Bug spray is your friend. The bugs are not.
2. Wind makes for dramatic images but is exhausting to shoot in. I would still love to see a cathedral length veil blowing in the wind.
3. Utah is amazing. There are so many hidden gems just a few minutes from downtown. Saltair in particular would be perfect for a couple who loves the beach but lives in this landlocked state.
